Aquaculture Solutions

Fish and shrimp farms carry a much heavier biological load than an ornamental pond — higher stocking density, heavier feeding, and faster nutrient buildup. Super AquaPros supports the bacterial side of that system: digesting sludge and uneaten feed, improving feed conversion, and reducing pathogen pressure. Commercial and small-scale operations alike need water treatment that holds up under production pressure, with dosage guidance and application support built around real farm conditions.

Shrimp Farming

Introduce probiotic bacteria, remove sludge, improve food conversion, and support survival rates.

Fish Farming

Water treatment guidance for stocked fish ponds and farm operations.

Super AquaPros

Formulated for higher bio-load situations like commercial shrimp and fish operations.

Why water quality matters more in production systems

Higher stocking density means heavier feeding, and heavier feeding means faster nutrient buildup. Uneaten feed and waste raise ammonia, which stresses fish and increases disease vulnerability even before it reaches dangerous levels. More waste also means more oxygen demand from decomposition, on top of what the fish themselves consume. When the bacterial community can’t keep pace with the organic load, water quality — and everything downstream of it — declines.

Species snapshot

Species

Key consideration

Tilapia

Hardy and fast-growing, but performs better when nutrient buildup is controlled

Catfish

Heavily stocked and fed aggressively — water quality management is critical

Trout

Needs cooler water (below 68°F); probiotic support matters most in recirculating or confined systems

Carp

Tolerates variation well, but probiotic treatment still helps manage algae and organic matter

Treatment timing

  • Start 2–4 weeks before stocking so bacteria establish before the full production load arrives.
  • Continue on a monthly schedule once the season is underway, more often during heat waves or visible decline.
  • In larger systems, apply at multiple points rather than one location for full coverage.
  • Below 60°F, bacterial activity slows — factor this into timing expectations.

What shrimp farmers are saying

"This Super AquaPros product is a must-have for shrimp aquaculture… It also does an incredible job of keeping the bottom clean, and as an added bonus, it adds a probiotic to the shrimp's diet."
Jeff, Royal Seas Shrimp Farm, Clewiston, Florida
“The water is clear and you can see the rocks and pebbles on the bottom of the pond. We do not use any chemicals now.”
