What is it and how does it work?
AquaPros™ are a proprietary formulation of natural microorganisms that restore ecological balance to lakes, fish ponds, lagoons, and water gardens. This ecological balance is established by digesting and breaking down the pond’s organic layer, found on the pond's bottom and submerged surfaces.
This improved condition results in cleaner pond surfaces, reduced pond odors, clearer water, and a cleaner, healthier environment for fish and other aquatic life. Such benefits enhance the human environment, and they often provide a sense of satisfaction for those people who use the products, as well as those who enjoy the water and its many inhabitants.
What does it cost & how is it applied?
The product line includes a regular-strength formula, called AquaPros™, which is most appropriate for small ponds or water gardens. It comes in a powdered form; and it is mixed with warm water and stirred, or aerated, for a couple of hours, prior to dispersing it into the pond. This formula is most often used with volumes of less than one acre-foot, or containing less than 325,000 gallons of water. It costs from $25-to-$35 per pound, and each pound treats up to ¼ acre-foot, or about 80,000 gallons of water.
The extra-strength formula is called Super AquaPros™, and it is more appropriate for larger water volumes. It is often used for aquaculture facilities, larger lakes, and wastewater treatment lagoons. More importantly, it costs about 1/5 of the price of AquaPros™, for each gallon of water treated. This cost saving is possible because of a special formulation and the use of aquarium equipment to brew the product for 24 hours. The price for Super AquaPros™ is $100 per pound, and this amount provides a brew for up to 5 acre-feet, or about 1,500,000 gallons.
Most treatments last from 4-to-6 weeks, but it is recommended that treatments be conducted at least on a monthly basis, during the warmer portions of the summer. Some people even divide their treatments into weekly applications, for optimal benefits. Furthermore, some advantages accrue from season to season, although it is expected that at least one treatment is required each year, due to organic matter entering the pond on a regular basis.

 The AquaPros™ product line contains 11 species of natural, pond microorganisms, selected for their ability to restore proper balance to an aquatic environment.
It contains 7 types of enzymes, which speed up the ecological balancing process.
It contains very high concentrations of microorganisms and enzymes, resulting in over 3 trillion microorganisms per pound for the regular-strength, AquaPros™, and many trillions of microorganisms per gallon for the Super AquaPros™.
It decomposes organic layers or sludge on pond bottoms, basically converting them into water and carbon dioxide.
It improves growing conditions for fish, by cleaning up and neutralizing the organic waste materials in the pond; and
